A Min-Max Optimization-Based Approach for Secure Localization in Wireless Networks
This project focuses on finding the location of a device in a wireless network even when some devices try to give false information. Unlike existing methods, it assumes all devices might be dishonest at first. The researchers developed two new techniques to handle the worst-case attacks and tested them using computer simulations. Their methods were more reliable and secure than previous approaches. -
Evaluating the Joint Use of LoRaWAN and Bluetooth Mesh to Improve Survivability for Critical Sensor Applications
This project improves wireless sensor networks for emergency and safety applications. It adds a backup channel to make sure critical messages are delivered even when the main network is weak. The system works with existing LoRaWAN networks and keeps all security features. Tests show it can deliver critical messages much more reliably using standard hardware. -
Physical-Layer Reliability of Drones and Their Counter-Measures Full Versus Half Duplex
This project studies how new full-duplex radio technology affects drone control and counter-drone systems. It compares this with traditional half-duplex radios to see which works better. The study uses simulations and mathematical models to test how well drones communicate and detect attacks. The results show full-duplex can improve detection but may limit drone operation under certain attacks.
